  We ate dinner here while staying at Terranea. The views of the ocean and sunset were spectacular. The atmosphere was pretty casual, with a nice firepit and some picnic table-style seating on the back part of the patio with a dirt/sand floor. We sat at one of the more traditional tables behind a glass wall, since it was cold and breezy that night. The service was prompt and friendly, and the food was good. My wife liked her giant pretzel and jumbo shrimp appetizers, and I liked my beef stew in a bread bowl. The key lime pie was good, but it reminded me more of a cheesecake then an actual key lime pie. The chocolate sea salt caramel parfait was very good. Our meal was definitely pricey, but so was everything else at Terranea.

  Can't beat the views. Beautiful location inside a beautiful resort. It's a bit pricey but that's expected and well worth it. Food is always good and service too! Love getting out of city and coming here, very serene and relaxing.

  I have ordered Quinoa Fajita Bowl with a choice of shrimp and I felt that the shrimp was not marinated and less grilled. This made the shrimp bland and overall the dish was average. I also ordered chicken wings which was comparable to Buffalo Wild Wings.
  The scenic beauty around this place is really awesome and yes this place is romantic too. I would surely visit this restaurant again.
  I am giving 5 star to the location, 5 star to the staff behavior and 2 star to the food, thus making the final rating of 4.

  Nelson's is a great family restaurant with gorgeous views and plenty of outdoor dining space. The food is good, portions are so-so and we thought they were quite overpriced.
